Neon Drift Rally
Neon Drift Rally is pure arcade fun. The tracks glow, the music thumps, and the drifting is exaggerated in the best way. It never pretends to be a realistic driving sim, and that is exactly why it works so well on a touchscreen where subtle inputs are hard.
You get a choice of control schemes: tilt steering, on-screen buttons, or a tap-to-drift setup. I stuck with the buttons because tilt gets tricky when the bus turns a corner. All three are in the settings and easy to switch between mid-menu.
This is the one game in my rotation that heats the phone up the most and drops the battery fastest, which makes sense given all the visual effects. Short races are the sweet spot. There is a low-power graphics mode that keeps the frame rate steady if you want longer sessions.
What we liked
- Three control schemes to pick from
- Forgiving, satisfying drift mechanics
- Great pick-up-and-play race lengths
