Emberfall Saga

Emberfall Saga hooked me faster than most mobile RPGs, mostly because it respects your time. The turn-based battles are quick, and there is an auto option for the grindy bits so you can focus on the story and the party building instead of tapping through fights you have already won a hundred times.

The character progression is where it shines. You mix and match classes, swap gear, and slowly figure out combos that turn a struggling team into something that steamrolls tough encounters. Menus are clean and the touch targets are big enough that I never mis-tapped in a heated fight.

It does get warm during long sessions with all effects on, and it will chew through your battery on the highest graphics setting. Dropping to medium quality barely changed how good it looked and kept the phone from heating up, so that is what I would recommend.
