Big Bass Bonanza
Big Bass Bonanza is the kind of game I keep coming back to when I have five minutes and no patience for anything complicated. It is built around a fishing theme, with bright cartoon water, splashy sound effects, and a big friendly angler who reacts every time something happens on screen. The whole thing is designed to be picked up and put down without fuss.
The controls are about as simple as it gets: tap to start a round, watch the reels spin, and enjoy the little moments when the fisherman hauls something in. There is a rhythm to it that works well in portrait mode, so you can play one-handed while standing in a queue. Settings let you turn the sound down, which I appreciated, because the splash effects get loud fast.
Battery-wise it is gentle since there is not much heavy 3D going on, and it ran smoothly even on my three-year-old test phone. It is not a deep game, and it does not pretend to be, but as a colorful way to unwind it does its job nicely.
